I went with my daughter for a blood test, the male nurse only asked her name, did not speak at all with her, she was extremely nervous, he did not help with this at all, she then nearly fainted as he couldnt find vein, he was digging in hoping to find one !!!, i had to say she needs her legs up as she going to faint !!!, I was not happy, she was so upset she said leave it and we left, we then went back in the afternoon, this time a nurse , who was not english, again like the male nurse hardly spoke to my daughter, same again digged in ,couldnt find vein, she nearly fainted again, I was so angry, I called over a nurse called Annie, she was fantastic, helped my daughter so much, she needs to be told how good she was with my daughter and how relaxed she made her feel, we then had to go again other day my daughter was worried again, but was lucky enough to get a lovely nurse called Jo, another one fantastic with my daughter and needs to be told how good she is. Those other two nurses need training on communicating with their patients, they dont smile, they dont talk , dont help to make you feel at ease, which my daughter needed, patients need to be looked after and feel relaxed, no chance with those other two employees, patient care comes to mind, as I work in NHS, I feel those two are not in the right profession, each time they pushed the buzzer for next patient, didnt even smile
