Being a former member of staff I was more than hesitant to book in as fearful of how I would be perceived. However I was treated with kindness and compassion at each stage. I was listened to and was a true partner in my care. I was escorted to triage by another member of staff. I was seen promptly by the Navigation nurse. I was afforded the privilege of a side room. Given the pressure on capacity with ambulances being held I truly expected to remain in reception if not Fit2sit. I appreciated the privacy this afforded. As this was not a social visit. I was seen and assessed in a non judgemental manner and reassured that I was not though any less of for seeking help. I was assessed by the MHLT team who performed a comprehensive and objective review of my needs and follow up arranged. Specific thanks to Adam Mundell, Anna Blackwell and Marisa Oliveira.
