Although challenging at first, due to my condition, my paranoia, psychosis and anxiety were dealt with swiftly, enabling me to recover very quickly. All staff have always been good to me, because I treat them with the respect they offer me. It was also challenging in the beginning because I had strong feelings of persecution from my home town when I arrived. The patients were very anti-lgbt+a (of which I identify with).
Unfortunately I would not recommend this hospital.
Scan I had in April, the results were lost and I didn't get them until July, when I was told I had cancer!
I was in the Henry Moore Ward after my operation, and as for a few exceptions, the staff (especially the night staff) were not very helpful.
Also the ward was not particularly clean, especially the washroom/toilet.
After having hip replacement I couldn’t thought the doctors nurses and all staff involved in my care they was amazing . I felt cared for and looked after very well .
The hospital was fantastic kept my bed open for 4days phoned me every day for week to check on me
I was seen quickly and given useful information via text message which helped greatly as I have trouble remembering things.
Very pleasant and helpful staff
I was very happy with the care I received
My 88 year old father underwent major surgery in Princess Alexandra Hospital and convalesced for two weeks in total.
During that time dad received top quality service and attention from all the staff involved from start to finish. There are a lot of complaints and critisism's targeted toward the NHS but we cannot rate the service we received high enough.
Everyone new what they were doing and everyone was sensitive to dad's condition and dignity.
We are extremely grateful for the service and experience we received which made an awful situation with my father a little more manageable.
Thank you!
All staff were friendly and helpful. The area I was in was A33 which was clean, warm and tidy.
