My GP arranged a blood test for me via telephone due to Covid lockdown and sent the blood test form electronically to me. I booked the appointment for the blood test at this hospital and after waiting and being seen to late I’m told that I need to print the electronic version of the form. I explained that I don’t have a printer and asked if I could send the form in an email to their department to print to which they said no and told me to ask the GP to print it out. This staff member was very rude, dismissive and unhelpful. I was offered no guidance other than to go back to my GP. I therefore had to Drive 12 miles back to my GP to get a hard copy of the electronic form (which entirely defeats the idea of GP contact being over the phone instead of face to face) and rebook an appointment for later that day. I drove the next 12 miles back to the hospital and turned up for my second appointment of the day this time with the hard copy of the electronic form to find out that they don’t do the type of blood test that I needed on Friday afternoons and was turned away. The nurse this time was very sympathetic and lovely, but by this point I had just given up defeated after wasting an entire day trying to get an otherwise very simple thing done. Genuinely awful experience and I definitely wouldn’t recommend getting blood tests done here
