Waiting times for treatments are long so if you need urgent treatment I would consider else where. Prior to my operation I was told the procedure will take 30-40 min max and then a short time for recovers. I arrived at 12midday as requested and told not to eat or drink 6hrs prior. I was taken to a nice room and then had to wait a further 4hrs 45minutes as only one theatre room was open and the morning operations had run over drastically. So what was supposed to be a 90 min procedure actually took 6hrs. My consultant was amazing however my after care was non existent. I woke in recovey, was rushed back to my room of which I was told to have something to eat, pass urine and then go home. I asked a nurse if it went ok and they looked startled and replied "um yes I haven't been told otherwise" I was then given an appointment card saying see you in 7 weeks. For a private's hospital I was really disappointed.
