The room I was allocated was lovely but enormous! As a hip replacement patient, the size of the room actually proved daunting. The distance between my bed and the toilet in my equally enormous bathroom was quite something to hobble across immediately after the procedure using crutches for the first time in my life. Honestly, I would have preferred a room half the size. As criticisms go, this sounds silly but a smaller room would have been so much less daunting and possibly safer for me, under the circumstances. Luckily,Ii was only in the room for the one night.
