North Middlesex is a busy NHS hospital, yet despite this, we were always treated kindly, our decisions were respected and staff were truly cared. Yes, this hospital is busy, yes they ran late on appointments but when it comes to caring and dealing with your family in the most crucial moments, you could not be in safer hands. I truly thank you all the staff for their hard work and care.

You get a letter with your date and time of your appointment and the name of the doctor you have your appointment with. You then arrive ahead of time and wait at least two hours just to be seen by a completely different doctor than that on your appointment confirmation. Why is there an appointment system then? Why aren’t you able to schedule appointments based on experience that an appointment lasts way longer than you think. If you would schedule appointments based on actual times there would be no delay. Is that too difficult? Then you get a prescription which can only be picked up in the hospital pharmacy. You hand in your prescription, pay, then wait an hour. 10 people running around like crazy within the pharmacy (no idea what they are doing) but nobody is able to serve the queue waiting for their medicines. Then finally you get a completely different medicine compared to what was prescribed. When questioned the person at the window (wouldn’t say pharmacist because he had clearly no idea of medicines) says this is the same. It is not the same so I refuse. Then I have to ask for my money back for which they have to fill a form then you have to go to the other side of the hospital to get refunded with your injured leg. This whole experience is a third world totally flawed un-functioning disaster. It is ridiculous and sad that this is how the NHS operates. I decided to take out private medical insurance as I do not want to put myself through this disaster of a service ever again in my life.

Extremely terrible hospital especially the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, very disrespectful and unprofessional women work there, I would never go there again!

I visited the breast clinic on Monday 13th February 2017. I was very nervous, but my apprehension was soon quashed. Every member of staff in the clinic was professional and reassuring. I was seen promptly and with great kindness and understanding. What a brilliant job staff at NHS hospitals do. Thank you North Middlesex hospital. Karen Harding
