I had a six night stay in ninewells to have my baby in June 2014. I was induced, then had a C section. The staff were fantastic throughout. Very supportive of my wishes during labour, - I wanted to be as mobile as possible in a quiet, dark, cool room with my own music and items from home.
After the birth staff continued to be very professional and caring, especially helpful and supportive of my choice to breast feed.
I'd heard some bad things and wasn't looking forward to going to ninewells to have my baby. The whole experience was very positive. The best part are the staff. Breakfast were a bit dull, (but then, it's not a hotel!) lunches fine, and dinners were very good. Soup especially so!
I could find fault with the toilets which were not always spotlessly clean.
