The Oncologist are very welcoming and polite, but the nurses (including Vicky the Macmillian nurse but excluding Anne Care) are rude and abrubt. Understand the delay to see Oncologist each visit, but it then should NOT take another hour and half /two hours to collect something injection from pharmacist and then try and track the Macmilian Nurse down to inject it. We got another nurse to page Vicky and she said she was on her way back down to Zone 6 from the Ward, it took her an hour!!! Also we was up the hospital from 12.15 and did not see her once in all that time until she done my injection at around 15.45, when Gill and Sally were there on Wednesday they always wore a uniform so you could recognise them, and one would always accompany you in to the room with the Oncologist, Vicky is nowhere to be found, i have very limited mobility and i should not be chasing her round the hospital trying to locate her, do not have a problem with any of the Oncologist but feel very let down by the Macmilian nurse. Also Nurse Anne Care is the most loveliest lady you could meet, she isn't really part of the Oncology section yet she will help you any way she can, when majority of the other nurses can't be bothered and need to smile a bit more, we don't choose to be there but it would be nicer to be surrounded by nurses who seemed to be be happy in their jobs and more reasurring for us if they smiled at us and attempted to help us sometimes.
