Whilst the out patients side is looking a little tired, there were posters up about future renovation work, the in patients side was attractive and spotless. I was in for day surgery and had a room first time which was delightful. The second time I was in the day surgery unit. Whilst this wasn't as nice it was clean and as welcoming as a multiple bay unit could be. The nurses were great and friendly and on both occasions I felt as though they had plenty of time for me. Multiple checks were done prior to surgery that instilled cofidence that there would be no mistakes. A particular favourite were the warm blankets used in theatre. They come out of a special heater and really are very comforting. Aftercare was good and my sandwich and cup of tea afterwards was lovely. I would have no hesitation in returning for any future procedures.
