It is a shame that our great NHS gets so many complaints, but from personal experience what this hospital needs is the following. When a patient is admitted to a ward, the relatives need to be issued with a point of contact on the ward. A named person that they can contact, leave messages for, and someone they can trust in to keep them updated and to be completely honest with them, also a second who can deal when the first is on holiday, on days off etc. What no you say, nurses are there to nurse. The relatives know the person best and maybe there wouldn't be so many complaints if a point of contact was issued and adhered to. But it seems this hospital doesn't listen and doesn't want to improve or change. What do the NHS pay all those 'managers' for.
