I visited the ‘Local Accident centre’ at the Hospital.I found all the staff within the department to be professional and efficient. The Nursing staff were knowledgeable and explained everything to me. I was seen quickly and I felt safe due to the measures that were in place due to covid-19. However I found one lady on the reception desk quite rude in her manner, bearing in mind this is the first person that patients will see I think this should be addressed.I think it is vital that they are ‘welcoming in their manner’, especially as patients arrive on occasions feeling vulnerable and anxious. I also had to shout whilst booking in due to masks and the glass screen across reception. As much as I totally understand this is necessary. I think something could be out in place to not make it necessary for patients to have to ‘shout’ in a waiting room the nature of their injuries, home address and telephone number etc. Many thanks
