Having accidentally swallowed a piercing(fish bone)in the tongue base/throat area,I was seen by the A and E department in Morriston hospital who inspected it in Triage and then into Minor Injuries, where a nurse attended and then a Doctor further inspected my throat problem with the aid of a camera insertion, and later after consultation, advised that ward admittance would be necessary with a possible operation to remove the awkward throat piercing. At all times the staff were caring, comforting and reassuring to ease my concerns. To ALL staff concerned with my caring,surgery,consultant/registrar,theatre staff and anaesthetists in the Ear Nose and Throat departments, and the Ward T staff,I'd like to give thanks to all for your help, professionalism, caring and for looking after me---brilliant!
