Morriston Hospital is undergoing a huge programme of improvements and every time I have to visit I notice the changes which are going to make it better for everyone, all who work there and everyone who will use the facilities. I hate to see anyone smoking outside the entrances and wish that they could have their own private screened area somewhere. Just a sniff of the smoke affects my breathing problem. It is not fair on any of the smokers to be stuck outside, sometimes in nightclothes, on view . How about an area with posters, and free incentives, including volunteer councillors.... to give it up. I wish everyone would treat the use of the toilets with respect. A notice, 'Please leave as you would like to find,' ...might just help. There are some very scruffy areas, for example around the Burns and Plastic Surgery Car Park 5 entrance for instance, where there are piles of scap metal, litter of all kinds and thousands of cigarette ends which need a tidy up. When I see it I wish I had a plastic bag big enough to put it all in and take it away for you!!! We always get lost and an 'Overall Plan' at each entry point would help visitors to find where they have to go, perhaps colour coded to the different areas. We have found that all Morriston employees are always kind, helpful, and go out of their way to offer assistanceat all times.
