Following a heart attack, I was 'blue-lighted' to Morriston Hospital. From the outset, I was treated with respect, empathy and care, and the professionalism that I experienced from every person involved in my illness and recovery, was exemplary. From the Cleaners, who kept the wards spotlessly clean, to the Porters, who were cheery and encouraging, to the Auxiliary Nurses, the Trainee Nurses, the Nurses, the Staff Nurse and the Sister, all of whom worked with total dedication and care. They clearly take pride in their work and understand how difficult, scary and stressful it can be for both patients and family, when entering the hospital environment. I can't forget about the Paramedics either. Those two ladies were also amazing in their care and professionalism. If we are to believe that the NHS is at breaking-point, this was not evident from my experience. I was in hospital for ten days, and every one of those I saw the same high-level of consistent care and support. Well Done Morriston. We are proud to call you our local hospital.
