I have been an outpatient at Moorfields for over 25yrs. I go to the Uveitis & Glaucoma clinics on a regular basis. Plus whenever i have flare ups, to A&E. The staff care is always fantastic. You never feel rushed & you always feel well cared for. I had to go twice in 2 weeks. (Each time a 4hr wait. But i suppose if everyone’s given lots of time, that will add to the waiting time. I would like to give an extra thanks to two staff members. I’ve been having a very emotional time. My mother died a yr ago & any emotional stress brings on my iritis. (Plus i have arthritis), so alot of health problems. When i was telling the staff about this, they were very sympathetic & kind. So thank you to the lovely Nurse ANNA LEE & the lovely Dr QUONG. You both had such a caring manner!! The real criticism i have is about the ladies toilet. The cleaners do clean them alot. But it must be the patients. I know it can be difficult if your vision’s bad. But there’s no need to leave reams of toilet paper all over the floor. The toilets are often blocked & out of use. I feel this side is getting worse. The patients need to be more respectful & the toilets need to be replaced. But apart from that. It’s a lovely hospital with highly skilled staff.
