Getting a kick out of being as unhelpful as possible I never received the summary letters that are sent out as standard after appointments. One from May and one from Sep 20. I wrote to Moorfields twice to request these and they never responded. I therefore had to write a third time by special delivery asking for the letters. Still nothing. I then wrote a 4th time again by special delivery and explained for the 4th time that I had not received them and that I reasonably required them for my medical record. They finally responded with a very hostile tone and simply said “we’ve already sent the letter”. What possible reason could they have for being so unhelpful unless they derive some sort of sick pleasure from being so nasty to sick people? Why not just send out duplicates? As a result of the hospital’s obstructive attitude, I have no had to make a subject access request – again by special delivery, just to get the letters I am entitled to anyway. It has cost me over £20 in postage thus far. I find the behaviour of these people absolutely despicable.
