I went to Mr Acheson's Squint Clinic in May because I wanted surgery to correct a very obvious lazy eye. Since then, at every stage of dealing with the hospital I have been made to regret my decision to seek treatment. The staff were rude and disinterested, there was no discussion over treatment, the admin was useless and I have not even had direct communication with the consultant. Even the toilets were overflowing! Rather than dignity and respect I have been treated with nothing short of contempt and indifference. Here's a leaflet, now shut up, go away and be grateful we saw you at all. I am so utterly disgusted that I am going private. I simply have no faith in them at all. The standard of treatment I have received reflects incredibly poorly on the professional conduct of the department and the hospital as a whole. From my experience, I actively recommend this hospital be avoided.
