Nursing staff were very helpful, but I was kept waiting from 10.30 am till 6pm to see Consultant Dr Norfeild, He was absolutely rude and abrupt and had very poor bedside manner. I was referred for suspected MI d ssible congestive failure. After putting stehescope for just under 30 seconds he said " you don't need to be here you are discharged. He did said that he has seen more swollen legs than my knee deep swelling on both legs" When asked what to do about my breathlessness he said" go to your GP," he also refused to prescribe any medication as" you will dehydrated, refused refer to OP Cardiology when I requested it. He is not suitable for the profession or to work in a University Hospital as he is likely to inadvertently set a bad example to trainees and med students, His behaviour I see as utterly unprofessional, compared to the Senior Sister and triage Nurses and other ward staff. On the day I was on MAU there were more than 10 patients waiting for more than 6hours.
