My daughters surgery(37 with hearing impairment and learning disability) was planned with great care even before we had arrived....(unbeknown by me) We were shown to a private side room and was first on the list to go down for surgery.. she meet her nurse and other members of the care team, the anaesthetist came and met my daughter and made friends and talked me through what was going to happen... all very reassuring. I was allowed to be with her even at the point of her receiving her anaesthetic and was allowed in the recovery room too when op was finished; then we went back to our own private side room and waited for discharge. Nurses were very kind, helpful and made the whole hospital experience for my daughter a happy one for which I am very grateful. To All the Care Team...…. Thank You :)
