My 16 year son - Ollie Thomas - attended the accident unit on Sat sept 15 about 5.45 with a shoulder injury. i want to thank all the staff from from the front desk through to x-ray, minor injury doctors and finally the orthopaedic consultant. In particular thanks go to Dr Gherra who was able to give an quick initial diagnosis after the x-ray but did so with humour and compassion and importantly called for the opinion of the consultant as the initial thought that the injury was a fracture dislocation. Finally thanks go to Mr Loubani who was able to provide the final diagnosis which hopefully was less serious although we will find out more at the fracture clinic. Mr Loubani was able to answer many of our follow up questions and again did so with humour and took the time to walk through the x-ray images in detail. Very helpful when I kept asking questions! My son tends to attend accident until a lot due to his sports injuries, but each time we have received first class service at MK and this continued again on the weekend. Please pass on our thanks to Dr Gherra and Mr Loubani and to those whom I did not find names.
