After a trip over a kerb when I landed on my face, we decided to go to A&E because my cheek was swelling fast and my nose was bleeding. After reception where brief details were taken, I was seen by a triage nurse who thought I should see Gladys in minor injuries. She was the most lovely, caring and funny nurse/practitioner and was very thorough, and arranged for a doctor to see me for a X-ray to my cheekbone. Again after a short wait I was xrayed and the doctor confirmed no break but to take pain relief and see my GP with any further concerns. Everyone we had contact with on Friday 21st Sept at about 9am were kind, caring and thorough and didn’t judge this silly older lady for tripping up in the first place. Thank you NHS you are all wonderful.
