I cannot praise the staff on ward 23 highly enough when I was admitted recently with a broken femur. They were all friendly, compassionate and would attend to all your needs as quickly and efficiently as possible, given the needs of the other patients. They are worth their weight in gold.
I would also like to praise very highly the Upper GI Clinical Nurse specialists, Wendy Shearsmith and Heather Simpson. They are the most caring, sympathetic and helpful people you could wish for at traumatic times when the diagnosis is extremely distressing. They are at the end of the phone whenever you need to talk or need advice. You cannot ask for better.
