OMG this was the most disgraceful service from an NHS hospital I have ever received. The A&E waiting room is small and not suitable to the needs of the patients. I sat in a chair for a total of 22 hours in excruciating pain. Could not sleep, still in a chair, due to pain and noise which I can understand but when crying out for help while vomiting only to be blanked was the final straw and I was in the major section for serious injury/illness. General drugs provided which were ok. Thought being moved to the surgical ward would be just that but it turns out to be another word for sitting in a chair in the corridor for the next 4 hours!!! Porters were amazing and respectful and must be "walking" around the clock. One doctor said bloods were ok when another said the white blood count was high. No history of current medication taken and nothing provided. Horror stories and lack of trust everywhere. The biggest disgrace was the call alert fobs where staff get calls from health care professionals and these are always on loud speaker, very loud, with personal and private patient information shared openly without any data protection considered. The boys at the top should stop patting themselves on the back and look at what is really going on.
