The desk at pre-assessment was very frequently unmanned for long periods, as the receptionist was attending to other things - obviously not her fault, but meant long waits for patients arriving to book in.
Perhaps a second person, so that the desk is manned all the time would be a consideration.

Good: that in the end they looked at my child, because at the beginning they choose not to.
Improve: Listen more to the parents and understand what they are going through.
