We were moved around the hospital to different locations, rarely given any updates. At first we were told it could be food poisoning. Later that night when asked what was going on we were then told about gallstones.

Suggested improvements
Doctors were not around to ask questions. Most nurses seemed pleasant. One was very rude to my son when he asked for any updates. We had been sitting in a room for 3 hours and then asked for updates and the man shouted “we don’t give updates” If I was on my own I wouldn’t of known what was going on as I’m hard of hearing, a lot of people in the hospital had thick accents whilst wearing masks I couldn’t really understand what they were saying

I was very nervous/frightened when attending hospital but I have a heart condition and was getting very breathless whilst walking and was told by my GP to go and get checked out. I was put at my ease on arriving, I never had to wait very long before my name was called and everybody who looked after me was so very kind and caring. I had a chest x-ray, ECG, bag of potassium and have been put on blood thinners, my prescription as now been changed to stronger medication and the doctor at the hospital as arranged for me to have an Echocardiogram and to actually see a cardiologist which I have'nt seen since Covid pandemic only a yearly telephone appointment. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received and all the staff that looked after me and worked so hard. We even got free cups of tea, thank you.

Suggested improvements
There is nothing the staff, nurses, doctors could have done better. I was extremely happy and a big thank you from me.

Some of the staff excelled in communication, explaining every detail. The treatment was good as well. Doctor Humza was very good in explaining everything and answered our questions

Suggested improvements
In the Emergency, let people in earlier if they are bleeding

In my review, I want to highlight that my experience with both the doctor and nurses was quite positive. They were kind and attentive, which made me feel well-cared for during my visit.

Suggested improvements
The downside of my experience was the long waiting time, which was particularly challenging because my phone's battery was about to die, and I was in pain. I noticed that there were power banks available for use by scanning a QR code, but I couldn't access them due to my old phone shutting down before I could sort it out. It would be beneficial if there were alternative methods to access power banks to accommodate people with older devices. Additionally, I had an unfortunate encounter with the staff. The lady who served refreshments was somewhat impolite to me and other patients. She gave me cold, unfriendly looks when I asked for a coffee, and another patient's request for a sandwich was met with unkindness. Her response was, "You've had it before; why are you asking again?" This aspect of the experience left room for improvement in terms of customer service.

Almost 2 hours and we hadn't when seen the trustee doctor. Not good for an 86 year old man. Lots of people coughing and vomiting. High risk of catching something

Suggested improvements
Self-esteem people who may be contagious i.e. vomiting and coughing. Prioritise elderly people
