I been to this hospital earlier as well I always found this hospital and staff very nice and best at its service.
Just try to treat as quick as possible.
There was almost no communication. I was left in a wheelchair for almost 15 hours. I had to in the end find a doctor and explain the situation, who then checked my notes and discharged me within minutes. That was all. To get this done I waited and waited.
I was assured that I will need a bed but I was stuck in a wheelchair for 15 hours and told not to move.
Treated well
Nothing
The nurses were extremely rude, I was suffering with bad chest pains and asked for pain killers, yet over an hour later i was still sitting uncomfortably. When I asked again if I was able to get the pain relief I asked for the nurse was very rude and basically "shooed" me away and said "just sit down, just sit down"
5 mins later, a different nurse brought me some Paracetamol which did nothing considering I was suffering with very bad pains.
Nobody told me what was going on, or what to expect after being triaged..i definitely did not expect to wait over 9 hours, that's for sure.
Nurses could have used simple manners and been polite.
It could have been clearer that after triage I would be left waiting for hours without being seen at all.
Very poor service
This is a request in front of u please improve your services for patients. It has take a whole day for you to just treat me
The issue I have is I attended with a open wound on my head and was bleeding upon arrival. It took 6 hours for someone to even check me, and a further 7 hours to see a doctor. In this time I wasn’t checked in on to see if I was ok. The 2x receptionists was so helpful in trying to help me get seen quicker, along with a lady called who I believe was called Hannah. However other than that I was quite concerned as one minute I was being told I’m next and 6 hours later I was told there is no doctor her at the moment
More communication and honesty but it’s not anyone at king George’s fault really as we can all see how under staffed the NHS is and until that changes it will continue
I have been extremely sick, food poison. Almost my blood got poison. The only thing they gave me after 10 hours waiting was just pills to stop me been sick.
More doctors
I was treated so well. Awesome
Nothing
I am 74 yr and I was told that an appointment was made for me at king George hospital at 2:20am I waiting for so long I was discharged at 13:30pm
Give priority to elder patients
left for 7 hours with no treatment,6 failed attempts at inserting a cannula, had to walk around a&e begging multiple nurses to get my drip to actually feed into my body, none of them wanted to help me
Was finally put in a room 3 feet away from a patient that literally made it impossible for me to sleep at all for days, when I asked if there was anywhere else I could go that had an acceptable noise level I was told to leave the ward,it was 2:30am,I had no money, phone or keys and had to walk almost 4 hours to my home whilst barely being able to stand,i collapsed twice,I feared for my safety all the way
2 occasions I walked in to the toilet whilst elderly females were actually using the toilet, the nurse just left them there without locking the door or keeping watch,it was embarrassing for me and very embarrassing for these poor women
I gave all necessary information on my health condition and the only medicine that works on me during these flare ups(this is an ongoing 12 year problem)
This was ignored and I was accused of being a “seeker” and made to feel like some kind of junkie drug user all because there’s is only one anti-sickness drug that works on me,
After giving the necessary information,I was told I have to take different medication that has no effect on my symptoms and prove it doesn’t work, therefore prolonging my suffering even though it’s clearly documented in all my medical notes
This was by far the worst hospital stay/treatment I’ve ever had in this ongoing 12 year ordeal
Listen to patients, check medical notes, show the smallest amount of compassion and don’t tell vulnerable people to leave their beds and walk miles home at 2:30 am
