I fell unwell with a sickness and diarrhoea bug late Thursday into Friday morning and after passing and vomiting blood about 4am Friday morning I went to hospital at 5:30am. The staff were all great, a few miserable people on the front desks that didn’t obviously want to be there and wasn’t helpful but the nurses and doctors acted quickly when i was still vomiting waiting. I was quickly given an anti-sickness drip and fluid and given a bed on a ward all by 7am which for A&E I personally thought was very efficient. Everyone treated me with respect, the doctor come around a lot quicker than I was told and was with me by 9am I was discharged by 11:30am after the correct treatments.

Suggested improvements
Only one thing I will say is the nurses on Minor ward wasn’t quick at answering the bell when I needed the toilet. I still had diarrhoea and needed to get to the toilet quickly but they took their time. All I will ask is if the nurses looking after certain patients be mindful of what they’re in there for as i almost had a few accidents due to not being quick enough. My bed was the furthest from the toilet and the nurse wouldn’t bring a commode in as i was able to walk to the toilet which I didn’t think was fair considering how unwell I was.
