After spending 5 hours in Urgent Care I was sent to A&E for a CT following a head injury sustained from a fall. There I was kept on a plastic chair in reception for a further 14 hours. A student doctor then told me after 19 hours in total at King George’s that despite having symptoms following a fall and hitting my head her diagnosis was that I was just “tired from having two young kids and dehydrated”. They didn’t even take any bloods the entire time I was in A&E. I asked to speak to her senior and was told they are busy. I asked her to page the matron and was told they’re not here yet. No one kept me informed about what was happening. And as I was leaving I heard the receptionist page the matron who responded and heard them talking about me on the phone. Horrendous experience. I left the department worse than when I arrived.
