Came in with concussion and brain scan conducted to check. This took about 8 hours but appreciate the thoroughness of the care and assessments made. Also appreciated the tea/coffee service while waiting - this was a nice human touch. This was very different to my previous experience of concussion treatment in July 22 at King George’s where the initial assessment referral was long and without seating. I collapsed after hours of waiting standing up and had to have an emergency scan and no beds were available.

Suggested improvements
The time spent waiting added to the concussion exhaustion. I understand that time factors are not always within your control. An approximate time for being seen by a doctor would be helpful as some patients including myself considered leaving, especially after the sixth/seventh hour. Some did leave unseen.
