There was a general lack of communication about what tests were needed etc. or how long we were likely to wait.
Suggested improvements
My mother is insulin dependent and was not offered anything to eat from arrival at around 2am until she was given breakfast at close to 10am and this was only after I (her daughter) asked several times.
