Treated really well

Although treated really well by all myself and my wife were there for 12 hours

The nurses were excellent. Even those at the end of a long shift were patient and caring. I am afraid I did not behave as well as I should. I insisted on self discharge rather than stay overnight. I would like to apologise for my behaviour. In defense of my action I would say that I have an irrational fear of dying in hospital. Can my apologies be forwarded to the staff who were on duty in Beech Ward on Monday evening 17/07/2023.

I would have liked to see a doctor slightly more often but I understand there was some strike action happening so doctor numbers were limited

5* care and treatment

Although i was in a&e for 12 hours it was because I had to wait for results of 3 blood tests plus treatment for high potassium levels

Absolutely nothing with the amount of people in a&e I’m surprised I wasn’t in longer

I was seen by doctors and the treatment was done quickly

I was treated very well indeed from Ambulance to the hospital ..the pain I was in was delt with quickly ..the Dr and nurses were the best ..couldn't have ask for a better service.. THey are all Angel's.. xxxx

I was really a bit confused as to the next step concerning my gallstones operation but that was my fault as I was do tired when Dr spoke to me .

We had to go via A&E to be admitted, even though the consultant had already seen my wife privately at Holly Hospital. My wife was dreading this, expecting to be kept waiting for hours. We were pleasantly surprised to be processed through A&E and admitted to Ash ward within a couple of hours of arriving. Everyone concerned was courteous and knew what needed to be done!

Very bureaucratic, with a number of hoops to be jumped through, even though the Consultant was expecting us. But I guess that’s just the system. There should be a way of by-passing A&E entirely and be admitted directly to the ward to avoid wasting the time of the, already over-worked A&E staff.

I arrived at Urgent Care Centre at 9am and was told I probably needed to go to Queens as I am 25 weeks pregnant. I was sent to A&E and made to wait the whole day before being transferred to Queens at 11pm.

Timely communication between departments.
