My experience as an in patient at King Edward VII was very positive. The staff were very knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean although very hot, necessitating the use of air conditioning. The little touches of special toiletries added a welcoming feel at a time of anxiety. The food was tasty and fresh. Above all, a calm atmosphere pervaded which really helped with pre-operative anxiety and no doubt would help with healing. I would certainly recommend the hospital to friends. One suggestion - I was asked to complete forms in the out patient department at every visit - all requesting the same information that had already been given. Perhaps the information could be stored centrally which would obviate this task.
