The attention from staff, of all types, and the consideration given to me was exemplary. It was noted that frequent cleaning was executed during my essentially overnight stay (robotic radical prostate surgery).
The Ward was a key but not the sole part of this process. Consultation with Mr E Streeter was very helpful and clear given the complexity of the surgery involved.
Of particular value was the orientation session given to a large group of patients and their partners. The specialist prostate nurses gave a very useful presentation of process and what was to be expected at time of surgery and also post surgery . This was so important in preparing me for my visit to Clark Ward. The process was also aided by the access to specialist prostate nurses.
