The care I received throughout my pregnancy at the day unit was brilliant. Staff are all so caring and do a brilliant job with limited resources. I was induced due to complications and this decision was made within hours of the complication arising. During the delivery itself, myself and baby were monitored 24/7 and both were given a very high level of care. The final
moments of my delivery became traumatic but had a very positive outcome, I personally feel due to the individual midwife assisting my delivery and her level of care and experience. I feel I would have had an assisted delivery with a less experienced midwife. She was also wonderful in ensuring I had an hours skin to skin post delivery. It was also brilliant to see the level of training being given to the student midwives.
