From the moment I stepped inside the hospital, every staff member was kind, friendly and professional. Before my surgery, I had visits from Physio, Pharmacy, Anaesthetist and obviously the surgeon. The spine surgery was completed very neatly and efficiently by Mr Kamat, who is a delightful man. The nurses who looked after me during my stay made sure I was never in pain and explained everything to me perfectly, so I was never in doubt as to what to expect after surgery. There is certainly plenty of written and verbal information given at all stages. Sandy and Becky are the two names that I remember properly, apologies to the lovely night nurse whose name I can't remember...the drugs were working well!! I was nervous about going into hospital, especially during the pandemic, but I shouldn't have worried, everything was very safe. The only thing I would say could have made my life a little easier returning home, would be given a drug chart of some type to tick off, as when you're taking lots of different pills, some of which conflict with one another, you can forget what you've taken when in a slightly dozy state! They even posted me some more pairs of the snazzy anti embolism stockings to my house, because I forgot to ask for some! Wonderful service by everybody...thank you all so much!
