The actual care and medical treatment I received from Homerton Hospital was outstanding. However the admin around this was terrible. No department talked to each other and I was left waiting for hours after being called in to see the consultant (- who was not aware I had arrived, even though I'd asked staff to inform him)
Appointments are regularly rescheduled and I've received several duplicate letters around treatment. The left hand does not talk to the right and it is a shame as the doctors and nurses on the ground are as I say, outstanding.

Had various treatment and surgery at Hommerton over the last 8 yrs great hospital.
However my most recent stay on Priestley ward was mixed. Day nurses AMAZING. Tracey and Farjanah excellent night nurses mostly agency terrible but some Homerton.
The differences seem to stem around transparency duty the day as wards are busy flooded with doctors etc and at night as the nurses are alone they became lazy and less helpful actually rude in some instances.
Work on that an outstanding hospital can be the outcome but aside that Homerton is a great hospital with a caring community spirit from my personal experience
I had an overall positive experience and felt that everyone was friendly and helpful during a stressful time.

Homerton is my preferred care provider. As soon as you step through the doors, every single member of staff treats you with respect and care and goes out of their way to help.
More bus routes to the hospital would be really helpful as although the hospital is not too far from where I live there is no direct bus or train route.
They are all friendly and professional
My experience on 30/05/2024 has been one of the best experiences so far in this Trust. I have in the last ten years had bad experiences from poor communication to poor hand hygiene and unsafe practice.
I think some staff could better communicate with patients, and be warmer and friendlier. Mostly from my experience it’s been the admin staff.
