Following my arm operation I did not get referred quickly to the physio when I should have been priority following the operation. I did not hear about an appointment for nearly 6 to 8 weeks and saw the surgeon 2 or 3 times before I had seen a physio. So the initial lack or communication and delay with the first appointment affected my recovery time. I had to ring up to complain after I got my first appointment letter through then I got a more urgent appointment. Once I had appointments with the physio then the recovery started well and progressed along well. The mix of phone and face to face was good although some of the appointments could ha e maybe included msome time in the gym to practise the excerises.
