I had a total knee replacement, carried out by Mr Shah. I chose to have the operation under local anaesthetic, and would recommend this highly -there was nothing frightening about it and I made a very rapid recovery after the op. Everyone treated me- and all the other patients- with the greatest of respect and understanding but also with real professionalism. I was back home after three days and had regular visits at home from the physios, with follow-up physio/gym sessions each week. Eight weeks on, I'm walking normally and am pain-free. A very positive experience and an excellent surgeon.
