Nurses and ward staff generally lovely, professional and helpful apart from some night nurses who didn't careless. Doctors and consultants were uncaring and full of self importance, rude, unreliable, unable to provide any decent communication apart from emphasizing it was almost 17:00 so time to go home. 8 nights in hospital, saw doctor 4 times in total, first time after 3 days to be told that I was on the wrong ward and that is why he hadn't been to see me, when he did he said I needed a lumber puncture which would be done on Monday, he said that he could have been done earlier in the week and I could have been home for the weekend but as he didn't know where i was it didn't happen. I understand GRH is on red alert due to bed shortage, hardly surprising the way my case was managed. I tied up a bed for 8 nights for no reason apart from lack of interest from the doctors
