After a holiday in Spain where I fractured my tibia, I presented myself at the hospital on my return. Within 15 minutes, I was assessed and told I would be directed to the right clinical physician. Although I was at the hospital for almost 9 hours, I was cared for superbly during this time, this included me having x-rays and a CT scan, being taken to a fracture clinic to be given a leg support that was more adequate than the Temporary one I have been given in Spain. To my surprise, I was also offered breakfast, tea and coffee and a sandwich for lunch.. every member of staff was helpful and lovely. I was so impressed by thebspecialist I saw, Mr.Sonu Mehta Trauma and Orthopaedic Registrar. He explained thoroughly what had happened to me and what treatments might be needed. He organised an immediate CT scan and on my return from there met with me again to explain the outcomes. Fortunately, for me, I did not need an operation. He was very thorough and explaining to me what I needed to do over the next six weeks for my best recovery. I can’t think the hospital staff enough for the care they have shown me.
