I was admitted to the hospital on 25th December, first may I thank and praise the ambulance crew (paul and Hannah) for their care and reassurance and timely intervention, two of the call handlers suggested a wait of four hours and as I was having a heart attack this was unacceptable to my sister who rang again and spoke to Colin who acted upon the telephone call and an ambulance arrived within twenty minutes. I was taken to Glan Clwyd hospital and seen within twenty minutes and transferred to CCU. The staff were simply amazing and so caring. Dr. Khider and his team were also so caring and I was given stents and returned to CCU and treated with the utmost care and I cannot thank the staff enough. Karen especially was simply wonderful and reassuring. Whilst there I was seen by the diabetic nurse who really understood my situation and was treated accordingly. At all times I felt safe and cared for. The only thing that let the hospital down was the discharge suite a souless morgue of a place where patients are left looking at blank walls in a dismal waiting room a television or some reading material would help.
