I was not seen

I missed my appointment by 15 mins because our car broke down on the way. I had to walk/run the rest of the way. I could not ring you because it was 0825 and you don’t answer until 10 o’clock. The receptionist was practically gleeful when telling me that my appointment had been cancelled and that no other appointment could be offered me that day. I do not believe this. Surely an appointment could have been fitted in for me? I had a fitting for a splint at Victoria Hospital booked for the following day and a Physiotherapy appointment booked. Neither of these could go ahead if my stitches were still in place. I am extremely disappointed by the total lack of concern I received today. I had to be taken to the walk-in centre at Whitegate Drive to have my stitches removed. I was so upset and panic-stricken but nobody cared in the slightest. The woman on the community health reception desk needs some training in how to empathise sympathetically with distraught patients. In my opinion, she should be dismissed for failing to do her job properly.
