The care I received from Vanessa was outstanding. At a time when you are feeling vulnerable as you have temporarily lost the use of your right hand she showed me how to overcome the obstacles and to do the exercises religiously which I attribute to how well I have healed. I also bought a wax bath and would recommend any other patient to do so who have broken wrists it was such a good purchase and has helped immensely. She was encouraging and answered any doubts I had each time I went for a session. I think the hand therapy unit is outstanding and we are lucky to be able to have this option on the NHS. I cannot praise Vanessa enough for my speedy (although it did not feel so at the time) recovery. I only started physio at the beginning of August and and was signed off at the beginning of November. I still use the wax bath regularly and am working on my grip which is nearly as good as my left hand now.
