I went to A&E in hopes of getting answers for my excruciating tailbone pain. I had already been to a different hospital and waited hours with no assistance and left. Here I waited only 20 mins for a doctor to see me. However I was not examined appropriately and my real diagnosis was missed. Had this doctor appropriately examined my tailbone he would have discovered I had a nasty infection growing and it required surgery. I was instead handed with painkillers and told to “ride the rollercoaster of pain” for my “sciatica”. Luckily, the next day I knew better and went to my GP (now they were finally open)! And I was diagnosed properly and immediately sent for surgery. Bad state of affairs.
