28th May 2024

Because they wouldint let me see a doctor about my medication for my mentel health all the did was get in contact with the chrisis team which I declined because I had been trying them for 3 days but didint want to help me so it would have been a waste of time staying but was shocked when a/e contacted the police more problems cheers a/e for interfering I'm stead of helping me but that's life.

Suggested improvements
A doctor could have assessed me to make sure I was okay and olso try and get me the help that I needed but that's life .

On arrival at A&E I was asked some questions by a very competent young lady. After a short wait I was seen by a young lady doctor who gave me a thorough examination. I was worried as I thought I had dislocated my hip but she assured me it wasn’t. Just to make sure she decided to send me for an X-ray which concluded her thoughts. She quickly prescribed me pain killers and told me I must not hesitate to return to A&E if my pain was under control or if I was concerned about my injury. I can honestly say I was extremely satisfied with the service I received.

Suggested improvements
Honestly nothing. I felt very safe and didn’t have to wait too long

I arrived at A&E at 1.15 PM on Wednesday and I was still sat there at 6Am on Thursday morning

Suggested improvements
If you are going to have sick people wait all night comfy chairs and a coherent treatment plan with the right pain relief at the right time would make patients feel better As it is no one knows what’s happening and there is absolutely no communication with patients

Staff were helpful, doctors not so much. Dirty and smelly. Nurses were trying their best and were very lovely, I felt sorry for them and the environment they were attempting to work in. There were puppy pads all over the floor in reception obviously to cover stuff but not cleaned? Cobwebs all over the ceiling. Walls were filthy.

Suggested improvements
Cleaner & more sanitary environment. In 2 hours I didn’t see one cleaner.

Long waiting times. 5 hours. Told I needed eye pressure checking Incase I had an acute glaucoma then sent home. Told that the ophthalmologist would ring me to sort it out. 24 hours later I’m still waiting for a phone call.

Suggested improvements
Sent me to the specialist that could have tested my eye pressure before going home. It’s a simple and quick test

I was running late due to traffic diversions. Staff were very pleasant & had a professional manner.

Suggested improvements
Nothing really as not your fault that I may have to wait between 12-18 months for an operation that will relieve me of my great pain & discomfort.

As a chronically ill patient my condition is never taken seriously every time I go into a flare up that I can’t get under control I just get gas lighted no comfort no communication just told to sit and wait so I discharged myself, my nurse failed my cannula 4 times and now my hand is swollen and bruised in which I did not need a cannula in the first place, I was not treated with respect however the receptionist were more understanding in helping me than the nurses

Suggested improvements
Be respectful that us chronically ill patients struggle to control our flare ups only because we look fine doesn't mean we are fine
