Although her Consultant gave a prognosis of approx 8/9 weeks of life, my Wife only lasted 8 days at home. However, during this time the attention she received fom the carers could not have been better. She really looked forward to the visits because they cheered her up so much,(one of the older carers even washed her hair to make her feel more comfortable) If the carers could be trained to give routine injections, this would give the District Nurse (who came once a day) more time for other duties.
