Following a bout sickness I suspected I had some form of food poising and visited the clinic on Wednesday 1st April. I had spoken to 1 very helpful doctor on the phone and visited another very helpful doctor at the clinic who gave me good advise to support the pain I was experiencing. On the Friday that followed I contacted the clinic again to try to receive my stool sample result. The doctor I spoke to was extremely helpful, Dr. Margerison I believe his name was. He said there were no results available from the lab but promised me he would chase the following day. To his word he rung me with the results without prompt on the Saturday and immediately prescribed anti-biotics. As I was out of town being looked after by my parents he even went to the trouble of faxing the prescription to the local pharmacy. The easy thing to do would have been to refer me to another walk-in-center where I would have to start the process again. Not only did this speed up my much needed recovery but no doubt prevented additional waiting time in another nhs clinic for other needy patients. A great example of avoiding the unnecessary red tape that we hear too much about. Keep up the good work and thank you for your help over what was no doubt a very busy weekend. Whilst I'm still unwell I can now continue my treatment at my regular surgery having had a real boost over the weekend. Please pass on my comments to all involved.
