Dr Diana Wei was very helpful, and put my mind at ease

The doctors I saw claimed to have experience that they do not have. They are dismissive, argumentative y and lacking in compassion. When they can't find what is wrong, they pass you on to psychiatry to waste more time. In my case they only wanted to continually repeat tests I had already had carried out. They refuse to answer questions, and refuse to explain what tests they want to do and why. Eventually, when I questioned them, an unprofessional faceless individual told me to go elsewhere.

Suggested improvements
  • Listen to me, don't lie to me, and don't attribute importance to trivial things that aren't anything to do with my issue. I am not a commodity or a mate; I am a patient. Don't ignore my valid concerns.

I attended the Neuro MRI department at King's College Hospital. As a full-time wheelchair user, I have additional moving and handling needs. These did not appear problematic to the staff in the department, and what I witnessed during my visit was excellent teamwork. Thank you to all who made my appointment run so smoothly

Suggested improvements
  • I was initially directed to the mobile scanner at the front of the hospital. However, I am a full-time wheelchair user and was unable to access the scanner due to my moving and handling needs. The staff in the mobile unit stated they had information that I should not have been sent an appointment to attend there in the first instance

A total waste of time. Because of a lack of experience, they keep asking for repeat tests, but they don't seem to know what they expect to find. If they can't find anything, they pass you on to neuropsychiatry. They refuse to ask anyone else for help. They lack compassion and an understanding of disabilities. The management are disinterested buffoons. They will try to discharge you without doing anything. I would not recommend this department.

Suggested improvements
  • Listen to the patient, understand their issues, and read the information provided. If you can't help initially, FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN.
