As a Type 2 diabetic I have regular foot checks.
On March 7th my podiatrist discovered what she thought was gout
on my left foot with a wound on the right side.
She dressed it and sent me to my GP who arranged an X ray.
After this she redressed my foot and referred me to the
Podiatry clinic at St Mary's hospital. Thy arranged
for a blood test which I have had this morning
All this with the minimum of waiting and inconvenience.
I can't praise enough the staff at the Ryde Clinic (Donna) and
the Newport clinic (Steph)
.
It was good.
We understand what will happen when we are older.
I learned new stuff.
It was what they taught us what will change when you go through puberty.
Good: learnt lots of things.
Better: nothing.
I like the way they give me support and choices of what to do and what to change.
